British national Luke Byron appeared on the Australian Missing Persons Register on Sunday night, when his family lost contact with him.
The 17-year old was last seen at 5am on February 3, when he caught a bus to Melbourne.
His family said he was travelling with a phone, but it was switched off.
The British national has been living in the Riverina with his father for the past year.
It is believed Luke travelled to Bangkok, but being young and alone, his family said he may be distressed and were hoping someone may have information to help locate him.
Luke’s mother told the register the family was worried for the 17-year-old and urged him to contact them as soon as possible.
She said they wanted to make sure he was safe.
