The score was achieved at the Narrandera Pro Rodeo on Saturday and Pierce rode the horse owned Garry McPhee’s Rodeo Company at Lurg in Victoria. “I never thought I would do it,” said Pierce who is the current Australian Professional Rodeo Association saddle bronc riding finals and pro tour champion. The high score puts Pierce in the history books because he also holds the Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft and Rodeo association saddle bronc riding record of 92 points.
He said it came as a surprise because he was busy working as a pickup rider during the rough stock events at Narrandera.
