The market was quoted as being back by as much as $10 in places, however, there were some standout returns.
Isaac Hill of GJ Hulm said one of their clients sold a pen of extra-heavy lambs for $239.20.
The lambs were offered by vendor Bruce Hamilton, “Emerald Park,” at the Gap.
The numbers were not as high as initially thought. The sale draw yesterday put the yarding at 47,250.
Long time industry supporter Geoff Wilks of Wagga said the big numbers and the fact that some regions, particularly around Forbes, were the likely causes for the decline in prices.
He said quality had also dropped in places and this was affecting the amount buyers were prepared to pay especially for the extra-heavy categories.
