The Grong Grong leg of the journey was assisted by the coordination of Mick Batchelor who is known for his involvement in livestock transport and his connection with the Grong Grong Rodeo ground.
The venue provided the ideal stopover for the cattle in the Riverina section of the journey.
David Hayter, of Hayter's Haulage at Sutton Forest also helped to provide logistics for the project.
The aim is to ultimately take the cattle as far as Bondi Beach.
Along the way the cattle drive will be supported by horsemen and women. The drive was in fact the idea of Mrs McLoughlin and she wants to raise awareness of transplants and the needs faced by rural recipients.
The cattle were donated by the Hayes Family at Alice Springs, brought to Grong Grong by Kemp's Transport South Australia and are now on their way to Sydney. Andrew Lloyd of Berembed Station provided lucerne hay to feed the cattle overnight.
