The yarding of 38,000 was down by 10,000 from the previous week.
There were 30,000 lambs, down 8000 from the previous week, and 8000 sheep, down 2000 from the previous week.
The offering contained an excellent selection of heavy lambs while trade lamb quality was very good to average.
There were plenty of secondary lambs suitable for restockers and a large contingent purchased the bulk of the offering.
The market lost traction with some domestic and export buyers not operating along with one major abattoir unable to operate.
Medium and heavy trade lambs made from $110 to $152/head averaging 550c/kg cwt.
Well shaped shorn trade lambs were keenly sought by a feedlot who paid up to $146/head.
Restockers were keen with the bulk of the secondary lambs returning to the paddock.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs were well supplied, however not all major processors operated.
Heavy lambs and extra heavy lambs sold from $150 to $200/head to average 530 to 550c/kg cwt.
It was a mixed quality offering with all weights and grades represented.
Most buyers were operating and demand fluctuated throughout the market.
Heavy crossbred ewes was keenly sought making $126 to $186/head.
Trade sheep sold at $83 to $123/head. Light sheep made from $44 to $82/head.
