The Louie Mould Foundation was started after Louie Mould, a 12-year-old Cooma boy, was severely injured in a trampoline accident in November 2017.
Suffering spinal injuries, Louie is now a quadriplegic. His family have had to give up work commitments to give their son full time care due to the extent of his life-changing injuries and ongoing medical treatment and rehabilitation.
To do this the group is currently running a dog auction online via AuctionsPlus from May 25 to 28. Thirteen dogs are listed ranging in age from nine-weeks to twelve-years and sex.
Yesterday they held a training day held at Neil Lynchs, “White Rock”, Cooma, with the pups and dogs to be sold in the auction available for viewing.
With pups and services kindly donated by local farmers within the Cooma community, all funds raised through the auction will be donated to the charity.
Those involved in the fundraising event wish Louie the speediest recovery and urge people to take some time to look at a few of the pups, and donate generously.
At this stage, Louie is starting to get some feeling back down his left hand side with some movement in his fingertips and toes.
The sale concludes at 4:30 pm today, to see a full listing of dogs on offer visit AuctionsPlus or get in contact with Damien Roach, Landmark Cooma, (0427 253 250).
