Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service states that there was a limited supply of well finished trade and heavy lambs.
Light two score processing lambs were firm and sold from $80 to $119/head. Restocking lambs sold from $35 to $115/head. Medium and heavy trade weights $2 to $3 cheaper on average but the better end held firm and sold from $117 to $148/head.
Heavy lambs were $7 to $8 cheaper with quality a majority factor and sold between $142 and $164/head. Extra heavy lambs reached $182/head. Carcase prices averaged 570c to 620c/kg cwt. Light Merino trades sold to $120/head.
Hoggets reached $168/head.
