Located 15km south of Rankins Springs and 60km north-east of Griffith, “Wirringulla” is an additional property of the Dwyer family, which took up their home property of “Never Despair” in 1926.

“Wirringulla” was purchased by the family in 1989 from the original soldier settler owners, the James family.

After a lifetime of highly successful farming, Jack and Shirley Dwyer are retiring Griffith, leaving the next generation to continue managing the properties.

The property is about 3850 acres in total, with 2100 acres arable and with 770 acres currently sown to cereal. Records of the previous five years of crop paddock chemical history is available.

It is also currently running 700 ewes and lambs. The vendors believe the property would be able to run around 800 ewes in conjunction with 1000 acres of crop under reasonable seasonal conditions.

Structural improvements include a hay shed, two machinery sheds, raised barn, elevated grain silo, old crutching shed with three-stand Cooper electric driven overhead shaft gear, mesh and steel sheep yards with loading race. There is also an old homestead, but it has not lived in for many years.

The property is well fenced and watered, with the all-steel fencing in generally good condition.
