Meat and Livestock Australia reports it was a firm to dearer market. Light lambs sold from $120 to $126/head. Trade weights were firm to $4 better with prices from $132 to $185/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weights were also firm to $4/head better.
Heavy lambs sold from $170 to $194/head. Extra heavy weights received from $190 to $265/head.
Carcase prices averaged from 726c to 759c/kg cwt. Merino lambs sold from $155 to $200/head. Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality was very mixed.
Prices remained strong with Merino ewes selling from $112 to $175 and crossbred ewes receiving from $116 to $166/head.
