PRIMARY producers will get the chance for an up-close and personal look at the smallest entry in the Case IH Patriot sprayer range at an inspection day hosted by Intersales Temora on July 17.
While there will be there will be the larger 4430 model on display, it is the little brother Patriot 2230 that will capture the attention, according to Intersales Temora sales manager Trevor Morton.
“This one’s a new product and suited to general mixed farming and cropping,” Mr Morton said.
“It’s a lightweight sprayer and height is a feature.
“We’ve got the big brother of it, this is the the little brother with a 2500-litre tank and an up-to 27-metre boom.
“It’s very smooth-riding and quiet-driving machine with high clearance capabilities.
“It has a good clear view because the motor is rear-mounted, for weight distribution and noise.”

The Patriot 2230 is described as having “big-sprayer features in a small-chassis package”.
A 2498-litre class II sprayer, it features a Case IH FPT engine (175 base hp/190 peak hp) and has higher clearance than competitive models in its class. The dedicated drivetrain has been designed specifically for the lightweight model.
Like all Patriots, its cab-forward, rear-engine configuration gives it a distinctive look, but provides a performance edge with the static weight over the front and rear axles, so a more even weight distribution.
The boom is a heavy-duty construction made of large, rectangular tube in a truss-style design and the AIM Command Flex spray system enhances productivity by controlling product flow and pressure precisely, and optimising rates and droplet sizes for consistent application regardless of speed and ground conditions.
Aircraft-style trailing-link suspension provides a smooth ride over all types of challenging terrain.
The Intersales Temora inspection day for the Case IH Patriot 2230 (and 4430) will be held on Tuesday, July 17, with reps available to speak with on the day.
“It is an inspection day only,” Mr Morton said. “If you want an on-site demonstration, for any model of Patriot, you’ll need to book an appointment.”
