Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service indicated numbers were back with quality mostly plain among young cattle. Weaners to restockers eased 25c on the steers, selling from 246c to 260c for most, with a single pen reaching 290c/kg. Heifers to feed sold from 180c to 245c/kg. Feeder steers eased 4c, to receive from 260c to 308c/kg. Light heifers to feed averaged 225c and medium weights reached 251c/kg. Trade cattle held firm, selling from 266c to 280c/kg.
Grown steers sold from 290c to 296c and bullocks topped at 289c/kg. Cows had the greatest improvement of the day increasing by 35c/kg. The heavy 3 and 4 scores made from 210c to 261c, to average 243c/kg.
