According to Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service a few pens of new season lambs sold from $144 to $200/head.
Old light lambs averaged $130/head. Trade weights sold from $138 to $200/head. Heavy lambs received from $205 to $234, while those over 26kg sold from $227 to $260/head.
Carcase prices averaged from 807c to 839c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers lifted and prices decreased. Quality was very mixed, with a larger percentage of light plain sheep yarded. Light Merino ewes sold from $62 to $84, while medium and heavy weights made from $92 to $160/head. Crossbred ewes sold from $94 to $154 and Dorper ewes received from $94 to $134/head.
