The records have come at a time when 100 per cent of NSW is in drought. It has been the silver lining of rural reporting in recent months.
And for those who have made and broken the records there is camaraderie and rivalry all mixed in together.
For those lining up to sell at Wagga tomorrow records of a different kind are likely to be made. If current prices are to be an indication and the big number in the draw the sale could amass as much as $11.7 million.
The draw, which came through on Wednesday morning, indicates vendors will sell 70,800 sheep and lambs. If this is the case it will be a record sale for the Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre.
