According to Meat and Livestock Australia there was 5200 new season lambs penned and prices were down by $15 to $20/head.
Trade weight lambs sold from $162 to $210, while the heavy weights ranged in price from $210 to $225/head.
Carcase prices averaged 850c to 914c/kg.
Old lambs followed a similar trend to fall $20/head.
Trade weights ranged from $154 to $191, heavy lambs selling from $194 to $215/head.
Extra heavy weight lambs sold from $216 to $327/head.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality continues to be variable.
Prices fell with Merino ewes selling from $94 to $181/head.
Crossbred ewes sold from $102 to $160 and Dorper ewes received from $88 to $141/head.
