ADELE Edwards of Nangus in southern NSW is among Australia’s finest rodeo competitors who are riding in the national finals at Warwick this week.
The barrel racing specialist has made it into the finals in fourth position. Traditionally the pro finals takes the top 15 competitors in each event who earn their place after a successful season.
Mrs Edwards is no stranger to the Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA) finals and has competed at the event multiple times and earned top accolades.
The competition was set to kick off on Wednesday night and Mrs Edwards said she was planning to ride her gelding Mooney. Tumbarumba cowboy Ben Hall, who is the APRA pro tour champion in the bareback, will also help to put southern NSW on the map and is hoping for a successful finals.
