Active Farmers is launching a Spring into Spring community support program designed to provide some light relief for those in drought declared areas including Lockhart.

“The program will be an opportunity for local farmers and community members to gather with family and friends for lots of fun, fitness and food,” said Active Farmers’ Founder and chief executive officer, Ginny Stevens. Following an initial launch event involving a free group fitness class and breakfast, two free group fitness classes will be run each week for the following month for anyone in the area who would like to participate.
Mrs Stevens said various health and well-being workshops will also be facilitated as part of the program such as nutrition and mindfulness. The program will be run across numerous towns throughout NSW in addition to Lockhart.
Active Farmers Spring into Spring program includes:
- A free community dinner and group fitness class
- Two free group fitness classes each week for one month
- A health and wellbeing workshop of the communities choice
The event is on Monday, December, 3 from 5.30am at the footy oval. The dinner will be at the Commercial Hotel, Lockhart. For the next month free classes Monday’s and Thursday’s at 5:30pm will be at the footy oval.
