According to Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service numbers decreased this sale, with both lamb and mutton showing the drop.
The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.
Light lambs eased $6 to make from $108 to $122/head.
Trade weights were $4 to $7 easier, receiving from $124 to $149/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were well supplied, easing $3 to $7/head.
Heavy lambs varied in price from $144 to $163/head. Extra heavy weights received from $159 to $206/head. Carcase prices averaged from 605c to 633c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality was very mixed and prices eased. Merino ewes sold from $74 to $133/head.
Dorper ewes varied in price from $71 to $98/head. Light crossbred ewes sold from $52 to $71/head.
