Adrenaline ran hot and seats filled fast at Injemira Beef Genetics’ on-property sale at Book Book on Tuesday where all 85 bulls were sold for an $8682 average.

The long-term Injemira focus on carcase yield and carcase quality paid off when Injemira Techno N276 topped the sale at $54,000.
The 752 kilogram homozygous poll bull had been billed in the catalogue as "one of the best bulls the operation had ever offered" and was the first sone to be offered by New Zealand bull, Koanui Techno 3062.
He was admired for his carcase credentials and length of body.
Injemira Techno N276's performance data sat in the top one per cent of the breed with a 600-day weight of +124, eye muscle area (EMA) of +5.5cm sq and intramuscular fat (IMF) of +1.8.
Ravensdale Poll Herefords principal Brian Burgess purchased Injemira Techno N276 because he believed the Injemira herd was one of the best in the country.
He didn't know where he could buy a bull like Injemira Techno N276 anywhere else.
"We have had success with Injemira genetics and the bull stood out and will go on to leave his mark," he said.
"Techno is an out-cross from what we are already breeding. His cosmetic confirmation stood out from the rest along with his outstanding breed plan.
"I believe the lineup of Techno sires in the sale today indicated the ability of the bloodlines to breed on and I also believe (vendor) Marc's commercial focus is second to none."
The demand for out cross genetics continued with return customer, John Wyld, Koolomurt Pastoral PTY LTD, Victoria, parting with $20,000 for a Koanui Techno 3062 son, Injemira Techno N262, who had the highest raw IMF scan ever seen at Injemira of +2.
Mr Wyld also purchased the third top price bull for $18,000, Injemira Executive N036, weighing 952 kilograms and in the top one per cent for EMA.
He had been purchasing from Injemira for more than 20 years and returned each year following strong results in his herd.
"We sell of our grassfed bullocks to JBS (so) I was chasing IMF and EMA in both the bulls and these are the ones that stood out in the catalogue," he said.
Leading volume buyer was Willinga Park, Bawley Point, who purchased eight bulls to average $8625.
Return clients Michael and Helen McCourt, Woakwine Station, Beachport, South Australia, purchased seven bulls, paying a top of $9000 on two occasions for a $6571 average.
Woomargama Station, Woomargama, purchased three bulls to average $8667 while Belgrave Pastoral Company, Mumbannar, Vic, also secured three averaging $7667.
Closing the sale, Injemira principal Marc Greening was shell shocked with the sale outcome and thankful to the loyalty of clients for recognising his program.
The sale was settled by Elders Livestock with Tamworth's Paul Dooley as guest auctioneer.
