This was a decrease of about 1700 on the previous sale.
The market consisted of 1471 lambs, 159 hoggets, and 748 mutton sheep.
The quality of the market was once again very good with each agent have some very good lead pens.
A large field of buyers were on the rail although not all active, and they operated in a market that was up to $15 to $20 dearer for trade lambs and more in places for lighter well finished lambs
There is still some re stocker interest especially on the lighter shorn lambs, and they made between $80 to $125.
Top price, for the day went to John Chapman, Harden, with an outstanding pen of XB lambs making $184.
With an estimated CW of 26kg and a small $4 jacket they came back at $6.95kg CW.
These lambs went to Hardwicke Meats after spirited bidding.
Most three to four score lambs were in the $6.60 to $7.20kg CW with the light trade lambs up to $7.50kg CW.
There was some very good lines of heavier mutton, and the prices remained similar to the last sale.
They ranged in the $4 to $4.50kg CW.
Hoggets were $10 dearer, with the top price of $140 to average $90.
