But it is one people in the rural community have been training for and are keen to support.
It will be a chance to pitch teams against each other in a fun but tough physical event.
The inaugural Active Farmers Games will be at Lake Centenary in Temora on Saturday March 23.
Active Farmers founder and chief executive officer Ginny Stevens of Mangoplah said that the purpose of the day is to raise awareness and funds and provide a fun day with plenty of activities and educational facets.
"Think ‘Tough Mudder’ with a rural twist, and you’ll have some idea of what the games will be like," Mrs Stevens said.
“We will have all kinds of farming and rural paraphernalia, like hay bales and tractor tyres, for the teams to navigate as part of the main race," she explained.
“We wanted to bring our network of local training groups together for a fun day with some friendly competition to raise funds and celebrate the strength and resilience of our farmers and their communities.”
Award winning country music artist, Fanny Lumsden will be emcee and performing on the day.
Gus Worland, the man behind three-part documentary series Man Up, will be sharing his thoughts on how to prevent male suicide and breakdown stereotypes.
A kid’s course, health checks, food stalls will also be on site at Temora too.
Mrs Stevens said Active Farmers runs group training sessions in local towns in rural and regional areas and encourages the community to participate and get involved.
“The main race will start at 9am comprising a total of 27 three-person teams who will compete across a challenging obstacle course.
“Everyone is welcome to join us for what will be a great event to share some laughs, some friendly competition and good camaraderie.”
The Active Farmers Games will be held from 8am to 1pm.
Teams are representing several towns from this region including Temora, Caragabal, Ariah Park, Mangoplah, Quandialla, Grenfell and Eurongilly/Illabo.
