Buyer participation from all domestic processors was steady however, feedlots were prepared to outbid processors for well-shaped lambs recently shorn.
The bulk of the heavy trade lambs 22-24kg sold $3 cheaper making from $146 to $168/head.
Light and medium trade weights averaged 640c to 649c/kg cwt. Store lambs were well supplied with many showing the effects of drought.
Prices were wide-ranging, with restockers paying from $18 to $122/head. Shorn lambs suitable to feed on attracted premium prices, selling at $103 to $168/head.
Competition for heavy and extra heavy lambs was steady with an extra buyer operating after a short absence. Generally heavy lambs 24-26kg were unchanged averaging 652c/kg cwt.
The bulk of the extra heavy lambs, 26kg plus, eased $3 to $7 making from $174 to $223/head.
It was a very mixed quality yarding of mutton, with all weights and grades represented. The market sold to fluctuating competition over light and medium weight classes. Heavy crossbred ewes sold $4 cheaper making from $112 to $165/head to average 410c/kg cwt.
Heavy wethers ignited the bidding topping at $178/Head.
Trade sheep were well supplied with prices generally unchanged selling from $76 to $116/head, averaging 382c to 418c/kg cwt. Plain sheep were in greater numbers making from $25 to $75/head.
