Each year the Wagga Pro Rodeo, which is supported by Gil Mathew Steel, draws in big crowds at the Equex Centre.
Part of the impetus of running the event for rodeo contractor John 'Happy' Gill of The Rock is in raising funds to support worthwhile charities. After the 2019 event he, together with event sponsor Gil Mathew presented Kurrajong Waratah with a donation.
The Wagga Pro Rodeo was held in February and attracted some of the finest Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA) competitors to the region. It was also supported by huge crowds form the Riverina and beyond.
