The group's annual general meeting was held in Temora last week and FarmLink chief executive officer Cindy Cassidy said there were a few changes.
She said long-serving board member Bernard Hart, who was also a foundation member of FarmLink, was stepping down.
However, the expertise of Mr Hart would remain with the group in his capacity as a member of the research, development and extension committee.
Lisa Anderson of The Gap remains as the chairwoman.
Meanwhile, Temora accountant Colin McCrone will join the FarmLink board. He will also join the audit and risk committee.
Eva Moffitt, James Holding and Caitlin Langley will also join the FarmLink team.
Mrs Cassidy said it was an exciting time for rural research.
"We have been putting a lot of effort into our portfolio of projects including soil health and soil management," she said.
This will combine with new projects to boost livestock performance and further investigation of precision farming technology and systems.
The group is also preparing for an inaugural ball on June 21. Mrs Cassidy said the ball was being organised in response to the dry conditions and speaker Corporal Mark Donaldson had been secured to speak.
It is hoped the ball will attract about 300 people. Mrs Cassidy said the rain last week, and more forecasts this week, were certainly welcomed by farmers in the region.
