Over a third of the bulls in this sale are sired by Clunie Range Legend L348.
"They are an outstanding group," Bill Graham said. "Selected as an AI sire in 2016 his progeny are impressive and very consistent.
"This is probably the largest group of bulls by this sire to offered to date in Australia.
"The Breedplan EBV's across this cohort are very similar and backed up by excellent structure, temperament and great phenotype."
Mr Graham acknowledged it had been a tough year that continued to test the resilience of those in the agriculture industry.
"In my veterinary career, spanning nearly 40 years involved in cattle reproduction, this year sadly stands out as the worst ever for pregnancy testing rates," he said.
"The loss of such large numbers of quality breeding females in this area is only a snapshot of our beef industry, which will take a few years to recover.
"No doubt those females that have joined successfully are a great base to breed from being a highly fertile group."
Ninety-seven per cent of the bulls in this year's sale are above breed average for marbling, a trait that Bongongo is well known for.
"Those breeders that have concentrated their breeding program through consistent selection of high merit carcass bulls are in a better position to take advantage of supply chain initiatives moving forward," Mr Graham said.
"We finally are moving (slowly) into these potential bonuses.
"An often-asked question when larger feedlots and others are purchasing feeder steers and heifers from Angus or Angus infused program is 'what is the source of your sires and their relevant genetics?'.
"The Bongongo brand is well known for its marbling."
Mr Graham said the stud breeds bulls for commercial cattleman.
"Our Bongongo bulls are run under strict commercial conditions and given no special attention," he said.
"They are supplementary fed in tough seasons. Bongongo bulls are sold 'in their working clothes' and have all been vet checked and are ready to work."
The Bongongo Angus autumn sale will be held by helmsman auction system at "Riverview"on May 20.
