BUYERS showed they were content to pay big money for quality lambs with plenty of weight when an outstanding pen went under the hammer at Wagga to make $270.

The top price of the day was achieved by vendor Robert Sheridan of "Woodstock", Junee and the lambs were sold by Landmark.
Landmark were the last livestock agents of the day to sell and in all the Wagga yarding comprised of 44,500 sheep and lambs which was back from the initial draw of 51,250 which was released on Wednesday.
Restockers were active in the market with some stand out pens of lighter lambs returning to the paddock.
Livestock agents said the rain last week and the promise of more on Friday had helped to instill some confidence among those who who were keen to boost numbers.
Meanwhile, the Ramadan period running from May to June has also created plenty of buying interest for the lighter lambs.
