The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market. Light lambs lifted $6 to make from $140 to $149/head.
Trade weights were $10 dearer, with prices varying from $154 to $196/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs increased $20/head. Heavy lambs to 26kg sold from $188 to $218/head.
Extra heavy weights sold from $220 to $270/head.
Carcase prices averaged from 757c to 834/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers comprised mainly Merinos and quality was mixed.
Prices remain strong, with Merino ewes making from $115 to $234/head.
Crossbred ewes varied in price from $129 to $172 and Dorper ewes reached $154/head.
