The fiercely independent and innovative team at Wagga Regional Livestock are ready for the next chapter in its long history serving the region's farming community.
Formerly known as GJ Hulm and Co, the business has undergone a name change for the first time in 24 years.
Established by Greg Hulm, he was later joined in the business by partner Isaac Hill in 2009.
Isaac and his wife Tracy purchased the company outright in 2014 and decided to make the name change reflecting the businesses proud local roots.
While the name has changed, the business still remains truly local.
This advertising feature is sponsored by the following business:
"We have serviced clients in all areas of livestock transactions including sire selection, purchasing of breeding and fattening livestock, agistment, weekly livestock sales at the Wagga saleyards, paddock and direct sales, over the hooks and forward contracts as well as property sales and clearing sales, Isaac said.
"Whilst our name has changed the personnel you have come to know has not."
As director Isaac is also a livestock agent and auctioneer; Mal Vogan is a livestock and real estate agent; Tyler Pendergast and Adam Boyd are livestock agents and auctioneers; while Tracy McKelvie Hill manages the office with Tracey Buchanan on livestock accounts.
Every day of the week you can find the members of the team in the marketplace at the weekly Wagga cattle and sheep sales, monitoring Auctions plus, driving to numerous store sales, as well as networking with their expansive contacts throughout the east coast of Australia.
Being on the pulse allows the team to be in touch with trends on prices and seasons to create opportunities for livestock purchase or sales for its clients.
To date there have been many highlights the company is proud of.
"Our company was the first in Australia to sell lambs at $200 per head in 2005 and then I was the first in Australia to auction a pen of lambs at over $300 per head in 2018," he said.
It has also been involved in promoting local events and conducting auctions for various charities throughout the years.
Wagga Regional Livestock look forward to helping existing and new clients navigate the best prices in the market into the future.
"It's always a privilege to work along side many of the regions farmers, the best people in the nation are from a rural background," Isaac said. "The region's farmers inspire us to make every post a winner when it comes to livestock marketing.
"Our staff are at their best when the pressure is on, when times are tough that's when our ability to seek out the extra market dollar or option drives us to perform," he concluded.
