In all, DSK steers won three of the taste test classes.
They also placed second and third with another two steers.
Strong use of Canadian genetics selected by and unique to the DSK Angus herd has complemented the carcass quality and muscle content within the stud's cow herd.
Over many year's DSK has taken pride in its success in carcass and feed trial competitions.
Carcass quality has been achieved without chasing high IMF percentage scores, but instead concentrating the breeding program on good skin and hair type, looking for a soft, loose hide and fine hair type.
This, along with high performance in growth and muscle content with an emphasis on feed efficiency and a strong stance on fertility and maternal strengths, has been the winning formula at DSK for over 30 years of breeding.
The virtual taste test Grand Champion was sired by Canadian proven sire, Young Dale Xcaliber.
At only seven-and-a-half months of age he had a marble score of three.
A Charolais steer sired by new home sire, ANC Kind, also had a marble score of three and won his class in the virtual taste test.
Sons of these two sires and more will be up for auction on August 15.
The DSK Angus and Charolais stud will put forward a strong draft of high performing, well-muscled bulls with commercial focus.
The lots will include 40 Angus bulls and 13 Charolais bulls, all polled.
The sale will be conducted on-property at Borah Station, via Coonabarabran and online with AuctionsPlus.
For more information about the sale contact Chris Knox on 0427 600 278.
The sisters of these bulls can be seen at the DSK southern sister herd at Adelong.
