Numbers eased slightly this sale and quality remained similar to the previous sale. There were 5850 new season lambs penned with a number of these being shorn. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market. Light new season lambs to the paddock sold from $106 to $145/head. Trade weights were $6 easier with prices making from $151 to $193/head. Heavy and extra heavy weights also eased with prices selling from $191 to $212/head. Carcase prices averaged from 790c to 827c/kg. Old trade weight lambs sold from $158 to $184/head. Heavy lambs sold from $185 to $225 with extra heavies reaching $244/head. Mutton numbers were made up of predominately Merinos and quality continues to be fair. Merino ewes sold from $105 to $220/head. Heavy crossbred ewes received from $168 to $214 with heavy Dorper ewes selling from $105 to $180/head.
