According to Meat and Livestock Australia's national livestock reporting service the quality was mixed with more lambs showing dryness in the skin.
Store lambs were again in good numbers and trade and heavy lambs were well represented.
Heavy weights were limited. The market sold to a stronger trend. Restocking lambs sold from $108 to $157, up $9/head.
The medium and heavy trade lambs to 22kg were $8 to $10 stronger selling from $136 to $174/head.
The 22kg to 26kg range sold from $168 to $203/head or 730c to 750c/kg cwt. Extra heavy lambs sold to $218/head. Heavy old lambs sold from $152 to $164 and extra heavy weights reached $184/head.
Mutton numbers were back, and prices eased $10 to $15/head on the medium and heavy weights. Medium weight ewes sold from $108 to $144/head.
Heavy crossbreds sold from $140 to $220 and heavy Merino ewes reached $165 while wethers topped at $180/head.
