South East Melbourne import Tai Wesley will make his long-awaited return to the NBL as the Phoenix host Perth Wildcats on Sunday.

Wesley suffered a hamstring injury early in the Phoenix's opening game win over Melbourne United back in round one in early October and has endured a frustrating time on the sidelines.
"It's been a long nine weeks on the sidelines, just being a cheerleader I'm excited to get back on the court for sure," the imposing forward said.
"The recovery process has been challenging, lots of gym work to strengthen all the muscles around the hamstring."
With the help of injury replacement player Jaye Crockett, the Phoenix have managed to cover Wesley's absence and sit third going into round 10.
"I'd like to have Jaye stick around, off the court he's a great guy, on the court he's been what we needed - great player and a great dude," Wesley said.
Reigning champions Perth sit second.
