The August, 2018-drop bull, Reiland Port Louis P410, will be offered as Lot 3 in the stud's autumn bull sale on Wednesday, April 22, at Killimicat Station, Tumut. The sale will be interfaced with AuctionsPlus.
Reiland principals, the Lucas family, are donating 10 per cent of the bull's price to CanAssist, which distributes assistance locally for cancer patients.
Sired by Avalon Angus Kimba K29, Port Louis boasts BREEDPLAN indexes of $124 ABI, $115 Domestic, $124 Grain and $122 Grass. Reiland Angus will offer 65 "industry relevant'' bulls, providing buyers with the opportunity to assess the herd's balanced selection program first hand.
Co-principal Mark Lucas said the sale bulls have been rigorously assessed for growth, type, soundness and temperament.
With regards to coronavirus COVID-19, Mr Lucas said all government guidelines would be followed and increased hygiene measures as recommended would be in place.
"Additionally, short videos are being initiated to allow viewing on the internet," he said.
"Inspection afternoons will be announced in the lead up to the sale for thorough bull assessments by clients and interested parties. Take advantage of the AuctionsPlus online bidding system and bid yourself on the day."
