According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service lamb quality was good with a large percentage trade weights.
Light stores were very limited and there were no restocking and feeder orders operating.
The market sold to a cheaper trend than the last sale two weeks ago.
Lambs eased around $10/head across most weights and grades. The few light lambs sold from $143 to $163/head.
Medium and heavy trade weights $165 to $197/head for lambs to 24kg averaging 840c to 860c/kg cwt.
Heavy lambs were in short supply and reached $218/head or 780c to 800c/kg cwt.
Merino lamb started at $105 for very light weights and topped at $193/head for heavy lambs.
Limited numbers of heavy sheep and not all buyers operating on the heavier weights had prices back $10 to $15/head.
Medium weight sheep were better supplied and competition was strong with prices remaining firm to slightly dearer. Light crossbred ewes sold from $140 to heavy weights reaching $230/head.
Merinos ranged from $150 to $185/head.
