According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service lamb numbers declined and the quality was again mixed in the smaller yarding.
There were some good trade weights which best supplied along with a few lambs missing a little bit of finish.
Good store lambs remain in very limited numbers as were extra heavy lambs.
Quality had little effect on prices as restocking orders were strong against the processors which held the light and trade weighted lambs firm. Not all the usual buyers were operating in the small offering.
The light lambs to 18kg sold to $152/head. Trade lambs ranged from $185 to $210/head, averaging from 800c to 840c/kg cwt.
The few heavy lambs sold to 230/head averaging from 750c to 780c/kg cwt.
Very light store conditioned lambs sold to $128/head. Mutton numbers lifted to 300 head and the quality was mostly plain. Prices were solid as processors were keen to fill orders.
Merino ewes sold from $150 to $169.20/head on limited numbers. The better supplied crossbred ewes sold from $80 to $218/head, averaging from 650c to 720c/kg cwt.
