According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service the previous week's downward price trend saw numbers show a sharp decrease.
Quality was also reduced from the previous sales though there was still some good lines of finished lambs available.
Most of the usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market. Trade weights were $8 easier with 18 to 22kg types selling from $165 to $201/head.
Heavy weights were also back $9 with lambs to 26kg selling from $200 to $224/head. Extra heavy weight export lambs were $11 to $12 cheaper to sell from $228 to $275/head. Carcase prices averaged from 782c to 860c/kg cwt. Merino lambs ranged in price from $171 to $210/head.
Mutton numbers were extremely limited and quality was very mixed. Merino ewes reached $173 with crossbred ewes selling from $170 to $225/head.
