A total of 2040 cattle went under the hammer.
According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service numbers dropped significantly across the supply area due to the rain.
The market is heading into the end of the financial year in good form, with most major categories of stock showing a significant lift in price.
The feature of the market was a pen of 22 Pregnancy Tested In Calf (PTIC) Angus cows returning to the paddock weighing 515kg and making $1950/head.
The usual field of buyers were in attendance along with a major domestic buyer after a lengthy absence.
The pick of the vealers gained 20c selling from 390c to 354c/kg. Trade steers were keenly sought by niche butcher orders which resulted in a price lift of 35c/kg.
The better finished steers made from 414c to 454c/kg. A lack of well-finished heifers pushed prices 20c higher to average 408c/kg.
Lighter weight feeder steers were a standout performer with many sales above 420c to average 419c/kg.
Feeder heifers were paid premium prices of up to 408c to average 401c/kg.
Heavy grown steers and bullocks were in limited numbers and most buyers were eager to capture a market share of the younger stock C3 and C4 steers sold from 310c to 414c/kg.
The cow market generally weakened 5c/kg. Heavy cows sold from 290c to 315c/kg.
Leaner grades were limited making from 285c to 296c/kg. Store cows sold from 282c to 382c/kg.
