According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service the pick of the vealers recorded a top price of 443c/kg.
In the trade market domestic buyers were very selective with steers suitable for the trade slipped by 12c to average 394c/kg.
A single pen of European steers recorded a top price of 422c/kg.
Trade heifers sold to significantly stronger competition benefiting by robust demand from major domestic processors and feedlots, the competition meant prices lifted 11c to sell from 365c to 415c/kg.
Prices for feeder steers was solid for all weight categories, steers 400 to 500kg made from 372c to 418c average 395c/kg.
Light Feeder heifers gained 10c to average 390c/kg.
Not all processors operated in the export run.
Heavy steers and bullocks sold to strong competition from domestic buyers and some export processors.
Prices for C3 steers and bullocks ranged from 340c to 385c/kg.
Heavy heifers were in shorter supply and a major domestic processor keenly contested the younger portion.
The bulk sold from 315c to 375c/kg.
In the cow market not, all processors operated.
Heavy well finished cows sold from 280c to 298c/kg.
The bulk of the leaner types sold from 262 to 290c/kg.
