According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service prices were mostly unchanged easing slightly on the light and medium trade by $2 to $3/head.
Numbers reduced significantly as harvest takes priority for most producers. The quality was very mixed with all weights and grades on offer. More than 6000 new-season lambs were offered.
Light MK bag lambs sold to mixed trends selling from $111 to $156/head.
Strong competition among buyers for light lambs resulted in restockers paying $3 to $7 more with lambs back to the paddock weighing 12 to 20kg selling from $139 to $164/head.
Crossbred ewes made from $160 to $248/head, to average 649c/kg cwt.
Heavy Merino ewes reached $248/head. Trade sheep were making from $124 and $161/head to average 641c/kg cwt.
