The quality was mostly good with heavy weights dominating the market. Two domestic buyers were absent from the usual buying group. The market was $5/head dearer across the lamb sale. Trade lambs were limited with most pens weighing 22 to 24kg, to sell from $180 to $210/head to average 868c/kg cwt. Heavy lambs were better supplied and were well finished selling from $215 to $256/head. Over 30kg lambs averaged 740c/kg cwt.
Processors dominated the light lamb category with lambs 14 and 18kg selling from $130 to $160/head. Processors operated in a firm market on the small offering of mostly heavy mutton.
