According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service numbers increased and the quality was mixed with most pens heavy weights.

Not all regular buyers were present or operating fully with domestic processors struggling to buy suitable lambs.

The market was firm where quality was available. Shorn trade lambs were up to $15/head easier due to lack of finish. The 22kg to 24kg trade lambs sold from $194 to $204/head.

Heavy lambs were better supplied and the quality was good. Demand from domestic and export processors resulted in a firm trend, lambs selling from $201 to $220/head to average 836c/kg cwt.

Heavy export types were well supplied selling from $226 to $260/head to average from 765c to 793c/kg cwt. Light lambs to the restocker sold from $115 to $145/head.

Merino lambs were well supplied with heavy weights reaching $195/head.

It was a small offering of mutton, most pens well finished. Heavy Merino ewes gained $7 to $8 selling from $162 to $210/head. Merino wethers sold up to $196/head.

Trade sheep sold from $121 to $155/head to average 624c/kg cwt
