Lamb numbers improved and the quality was again mixed.

There were lambs in short wool that present very well along side longer woolled lambs that were dry and lacking some cover.

Trade and heavy lambs made up the bulk with a small run of light store lambs. Short skinned lambs attracted the most attention from buyers. The market sold to a cheaper trend.

Light restocking lambs were $6 to $9/head dearer with restockers after longer skinned lambs up to 22kg.

Prices ranged from $174 to $203/head.

Medium and heavy trade lambs were $3 dearer and sold from $173 to $197/head or from 850c to 880c/kg cwt.

Heavy lambs 22 to 26kg were back $8 to $10 and sold from $193 to $215/head or from 820c to 860c/kg cwt.

Extra heavy lambs lost $6 to sell from $206 to $244/head.

Merino trades made from $160 to $170/head. Hoggets reached $240/head.

Mutton numbers fell and the quality varied from very light Merino ewes to a limited supply of heavy crossbreds.

Prices were dearer generally $5 to $6/head stronger.

Medium weight ewes were making from $130 to $174/head. Heavy crossbred ewes made from $213 to $250 and Merinos sold from $160 to $192/head.
