A COVID-safe event is planned for Saturday, 27 November, 6pm at Jingellic Hub.
The organising committee has planned the event to showcase the Upper Murray region, with a decision taken to lead on 'carbon neutrality' and the coming reality of a new 'carbon' focused world for beef production and to inspire beef producers to greater success.
During a gala dinner, guests will receive keynote addresses from Doug McNicholl, program manager, sustainability Innovation, Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and Mark Allison, chief executive officer, Elders. Ben Thomas of Rabobank will also deliver a market snapshot.
Doug McNicholl will present an address about the red meat industry's goal to be carbon neutral by 2030, and, based on the MLA roadmap, the steps beef producers should be considering.
Mr Allison says he is pleased to have the opportunity to deliver an address about the current state of Australian agribusiness.
"Australian agriculture is set for a very positive and prosperous future, with many opportunities for improved productivity, profitability and sustainability. These opportunities far outweigh the many challenges on our journey," he says.
Guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner catered by Sarah King from The Ten Mile, Holbrook.
