Meat and Livestock Australia market reporter Graeme Richard said the market trend was firm on the better lambs and cheapened off on the plainer lambs.
New season store lambs made from $86 to $142/head.
Trade weights were firm and sold from $190 to $209 and heavy weights reached $214/head with most averaging from 808c to 840c/kg cwt.
Shorn new season trade lambs were a little cheaper ranging from $190 to $211 and extra heavy old lambs sold from $233 to $255/head.
Best priced hogget reached $185/head.
Mutton numbers lifted and the quality was fair to good, while prices were cheaper.
Medium weight ewes sold from $138 to $155 and heavy crossbreds from $196 to $222/head.
